The Shalini Ganendra Fine Art is scheduled to hold the latest works of Zac Lee entitled ‘Conversations in Yellow & Blue’. The solo exhibition will be held between the 15th of November to 15th January 2013 and it will be featuring the works of Zac who is an award winning contemporary artist whose cutting edge artwork had created quite a buzz in the art scene around the region.

After all, his previous solo exhibition, which was also held at the same gallery entitled ‘Truth & Dare’ was sold out back in 2011. The highly talented artists will be bringing out his works which have been known to intertwine his techniques in Chinese Calligraphy and contemporary methods where he was also involved in some very prestigious residencies like the Freeman Fellowship at the United States’ Vermont Studio Centre and the Three Shadows Art Center Residency in Beijing, China.

There will 8 pieces of work being exhibited at the Conversations in Yellow & Blue show which are made in 7’ by 7’ sizes and can be viewed either independently or holistically because they represent a significant step in his career. The change in his artistic style can be contributed to his experience as an educator of the arts and he documents them in this series about the past, present and future of Malaysia.
