The Young Guns art award and exhibition organized by local art gallery HOM ART TRANS achieved another feather in the hat when it partnered Chan Hampe Galleries of Singapore which showcased the works of some of the most exciting young Malaysian artists in the southern neighbouring country.
Young Guns is a tri-annually held event which is organized to recognize artists who are below 33 years old who have been successful and recognized in the art scene for their own unique reasons and artistic reasons.
The collaboration means that the art award and exhibition is being shown in Singapore following its 3-city tour, namely Kuala Lumpur in MAP @ Publika, up north in Georgetowns The Whiteaways Arcade and now down south to Singapore for a few weeks.
There are 13 artists who have been selected for this show and they have all been recognized for their exemplary works and achievements both within and outside the country and that includes the likes of award winner Chong Ai Lei, renowned artists Anisa Abdullah, Ruzzeki Harris, Chi Too and many others, all of whom bring together a collection of truly exciting art pieces in different expressions, promoting Malaysian contemporary art at its most current and relevant state.
