The ‘Rojak Asia’ show will be held from 3 May to 15 June, 2012 and will be opened to the public from 12.00pm to 9.00pm daily. Admission to the KL Lifestyle Artspace is free and you will be welcomed by some of the most exciting paintings of today. The paintings are highly colourful where Ketna keeps the subject matter as implied in her show title. This means that there will be a lot of strong Asian elements which are all painted in a vibrant mix of colours. Ketna applies the concept where she mixes and matches the subject matter of several culture and tradition and then indulge them into the popular and iconic artistic genre to demonstrate her ‘Rojak’ ideology. She uses an Asian street narrative style to depict her expression here and it would involve her experimental approach by adopting the likes of umbrellas, lamps, skeletons and sofas in her work.
