Petaling Jaya Museum

The Petaling Jaya Museum opened its doors in November 2007. It closed some time later before reopening to the public in 2016. At the Petaling Jaya Museum, visitors are able to view the development of the city which is one of the most exciting and fastest growing places in the Klang Valley. This is where it shows how fast PJ, as it is known has come.

Art and other exhibitions

As an exhibition space, the Petaling Jaya Museum has hosted various ad-hoc shows as well. A few years ago, the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur and the Petaling Jaya City Council jointly organized an exhibition entitled ‘The World of Kokeshi’. This included a mini cultural festival that was held to educated the people about the culture of Japan. It involves exhibitions on Japanese art, traditional toys, origami workshops and even a Yukata Wearing Experience, among others.
