The Jessica Sue Decorative Arts is one of the most unique art spaces where one can learn a new type of artistic expression form. The school is the brainchild of Jessica Yew and Suzanna Tan who have created a space to learn decorative arts through their passion in this unique art.
What was originally a hobby for Jessica and Suzanna eventually turned into an art business where the Jessica Sue Decorative Arts has since been involved in several programmes and activities like seminars and charity events in the sharing of this discipline.
The JessicaSue Decorative Arts offer classes for adults and the younger generation where you can enjoy a unique way of expression in the arts through the use of different effects on paint onto different surfaces.
This include applying the likes of folx art of the world, Asian inspiration, Naive art and faux finishes paint effects which are then applied onto a wide range of surfaces and textures that are commonly known like furniture, walls and such.
Classes are held at the Jessica Sue Decorative Arts from 10am to 1pm on Mondays to Fridays while Saturdays are from 2pm to 5pm. The afternoons are available for special requests if you have group of more than 4 people and would like to a have a specially dedicated class with the instructors.
Essentially, decorative arts involve the painting on surfaces that are made of wood like plaques, boxes and such. Students are encouraged to express themselves through this unique art form where the Jessica Sue Decorative Arts also offer their own range of art material. Among the events that the school has been previously involved in include the Ros Singleton Art Seminar in 2004, the Charity with the National Cancer Society, the Painting the Royal Project, the Arts for All Charity Event at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club and others.
