Pinkguy Gallery is hosting a group exhibition entitled Passions of Japan. This is a highly unique show which the gallery calls a double solo show where it will be featuring the works for contemporary Japanese Yasuhiro Hara and Hidehito Matsubara.
This will be the first of its kind for Pinkguy which was the idea of WinSon Loh. There will be plenty of Japanese art to enjoy in this show and visitors can now bask in the elements of this culture which are often associated with patience and passion.
As with most 2-artists shows, it will showcase 2 individuals with very distinctive bodies of work where they are similar where they use texture and detail in their art. Hidehito Matsubara comes from Kobe where he has been a professional artist for more than 10 years now. His most remarkable works were seen recently in 2011 at the Kobe Watakushi Museum in Hyogo where he is known for his signature works of miniature artworks.
Meanwhile, Yasuhiro Hara is 10 years younger than Hidehito and despite being the younger one, has been extremely successful in his art. He was involved in 6 solo exhibitions since 2007 and a winner of the 2007 Holbein Prize as well as the YOD Gallery Prize in 2011.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 10.26am 7.26am, Saturdays: 10.26am 5.26am
