Starting August 18 to 20 and then from August 23 to 27 is the Cartoon play presented by Indiclinelive!. To be staged at klpac (Kuala Lumpur Performance Arts Center), it is themed “It’s a War on Terror in Toontown” which is based on the story of Trouble which is a mischievous urchin who stole the yellow sledgehammer. The item belonged to Bratty, who used it to command her toonizens.
The show is catered for the mature audiences only and will be staged at 8.30pm on the mentioned dates. There will be no show on August 22 while the matinee will be on August 21 at 3.30pm. Ticket prices are at RM38 for adults while students and disabled patrons pay RM25 only. If you buy 4 tickets at any price, you will get another one free. On August 23 and 24, the 8.30pm show will go at RM25 for everyone while on August 21, you will be able to enjoy the offer price of RM25 for tickets if you dress up in the cartoon character of your choice.
The show is written by Steve Yockey and was previously premiered in 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia where in klpac, Dato’ Faridah Merican is the Artistic Director which will feature the likes of Amanda Ang, Lorna Hoong, Jabar Laura, Matthew Ong and many others.
