The Pelita Hati Gallery of Art is currently hosting a group show entitled Nostalgia. This exhibition has been on show since the 21st of December last year and will go on until the 25th of January. The official opening of Nostalgia however will only be held on 11th January at 5.30pm.
The group show will be covering many different types of mediums by the artists involved. The theme Nostalgia will surely invoke memories of the past and how the artists see it in their own original ways. The artists who are involved in this show are Jumeleny Maknoh, Mior Rizzuan Rosli, Mohd Azlan Mohd Latib, Nicholas Choong, Nurkhazilah Idris (Ila Idris), Shaarim Sahat, Yazib Alias, Zulkifli Yasin and Hazrin Mohd Yusof.
In total, there will be 86 pieces of artworks on show which will be focusing on old buildings and local sceneries as well as the architectural heritage and elements of the past. The artists have put out works which are priced between RM150 and RM3,200 using all types of medium they specialize in which include oil and acrylic, charcoal and pencil, mixed media, watercolor while there are sculptures on show as well, all of which are completed to demonstrate the artists unique techniques and styles.
