Choy Chun Wei’s Profile: Choy Chun Wei’s body or work is basically ‘messy’ with a message. If you view his art work you will find that for a moment, he brings the viewer through a journey into complications and then draws them back into reality. This is the very message that his work embodies in many ways. Chun Wei was born in 1973 and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at the Central Saint Martins in London. Since then, he has been actively involved with the art industry with his work being exhibited around the galleries of Malaysia and the region. He was also one of the selected few artists in the Rimbun Dahan, Malaysian-Australian Artist-in-Residence programme while his artwork have also been inducted into many permanent collections of galleries around the world. Apart from that, he also has had solo and group exhibitions with private and public galleries like the National Art Gallery and Soko Gakkai.
