The uniquely named 12 Art Space, which is known in short as 12 is located at Setapak since it was launched in January 2007. The location was chosen due to its historical heritage and significance where 12 works to promote Malaysian artists to the public. It was never known why 12 was used as the name of the gallery but one would likened it to be the experimental impression of the space with artists from the country and the surrounding regions. Shooshie Sulaiman is the artist-cum-exhibition maker of 12 where she is in charge of most of the exhibitions here.
