Directed by Nell Ng with Nish Tham as the musical director, the upcoming play ‘Cabaret’ will see an ensemble of actors including Stephanie Van Driesen, Peter Davis, Peter Ong, Trudy Ganendra, Alizakri Alias, Aaron Khaled, Bernie Chan and others who will be strutting their stuff at Pentas 2 of Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre or KLPac. The shows will be held from 6 – 8 May, and 10-15 May.
The story of Cabaret is no stranger in the performing arts world where it has since travelled to most established stages as well as having been made into a movie as well. This is where you will get a ‘localized’ version of the story set in Berlin in 1931 of the life of Sally Bowles who is a cabaret performer during that time. The story is a love affair with Clifford Bradshaw which depicts the strained relationship and its issues. Ticket prices are at RM125 for A, RM105 for B and RM85 for C.
