The Core Design Gallery is currently hosting the solo exhibition of Malaysian artist Husin Hourmain. The exhibition is entitled Trail to the Past and when a show carries a title like this, you can expect it to be something that will be nostalgic and depicts the process of the artistic body of work.
The show will surely be a great place to start learning about the art producing process of Husin in which there will be some of his earlier works and how he came about producing some of the most interesting body of work in the Malaysian art scene today.
One might recall Husins works at the Awal Hurouf Asal Hurouf exhibition which puts him among the most remarkable Islamic calligraphic artists around. For this show, you will be visiting the trail that has brought Husin to where he is today. You will chart through the last 14 years of his artistic career in on how he has morphed his artistic ventures to Jawi Art, something which he is so very well-known for. Through this, you will explore further into the thinking process of the artist while appreciating his unique and innovative body of work.
