Art Accent will be hosting the first solo exhibition by Malaysian artist Tang Yeok Khang between the 24th of November to the 2nd of December 2012. The show will be held at its gallery in Bangsar Village which will be entitled Urban Stroller featuring the latest works by Tang who is one of the emerging artists of the Malaysian art scene.
Tangs work has often been associated with a rustic feel to them and he will continue to showcase his trademark body of work in his latest offering in Urban Stroller. Born in 1975, Tang was a landscape designer in profession before he turned full-time to pursue his passion in art and become a professional artist. The leap of faith saw him venturing into the unknown but into his lifetime interest that he cultivated since his early years.
Having sold his first painting at the age of 14, Tang has moved on and inscribed his signature and unique artwork in his own ways. As expected, his early profession had a strong influence on his works and that was seen in his early watercolour paintings of landscape. Today, he paints with more purpose and style through his own way of expression of the subject matter which would be seen at the upcoming solo show.
